The Beaches, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The Beaches, or “Beach Village” or “Beach” as many locals call it, is a charming, laid-back neighbourhood with a vintage small-town vibe. Just 20 minutes east of downtown Toronto, the area has two main attractions: its sandy beach and its Queen Street strip. The inviting Lake Ontario beachfront features acres of soft sand, shady parks, bike, and rollerblade paths with a 3 km boardwalk. All are beautifully maintained and popular with the locals. Come people-watch while you soak up the sun. Or work up a sweat along the paths or at one of the area’s many beach volleyball courts.

If ever a street was made for idly sauntering, it’s Queen Street East in the Beaches. Reflecting the easy-going atmosphere of the neighbourhood, this bustling thoroughfare is lined with quaint and quirky stores and a cool collection of bars and restaurants. Nestled between Queen Street and the boardwalk is Kew Gardens, a large public park which is home to the neighbourhood’s many festivals, craft shows, concerts and exhibitions, including the annual Beaches International Jazz Festival, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors every July.

Fenelon Falls, Ontario, Canada

Known as the “Jewel of the Kawarthas”, the town of Fenelon Falls and the nearby community of Cameron offer a little bit of everything with a mix of outdoor activities, rural landscapes, miles of open water, great shopping and dining, and numerous opportunities for exploring arts, culture and heritage.

Welcome to Fenelon Falls, a Trent-Severn Trail Town located along the 386 km Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site of Canada connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Huron. Boat, paddle, cycle, hike or drive along the renowned inland passageway through historic lock stations and into quaint communities with unique offerings for every visitor. Home to Lock 34 on the Trent-Severn Waterway, Fenelon Falls is a popular destination to enjoy a Kawartha Dairy ice cream and watch the boats travel through the lift locks.

Lake Muskoka, Ontario, Canada

Two hours north of Toronto has been named one of the best places to visit in Canada time and time again. Our quaint and charming region affectionately known as Canada’s cottage country has received some tremendous recognition over the years as one of Canada’s top vacation spots, and one of the top vacation spots in the world!

During the summertime, Muskoka plays hosts to memorable family vacations, romantic getaways, golf destinations and historical heritage. Families flock to one of our picturesque lakeside locations to celebrate summer on the water, with swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, sandcastles and water trampolines almost always on the agenda! Many times, Muskoka is the place where a child learns how to swim, eats their first s’more, catches their first fish at the end of the dock, or gets up on water skis for their first time! These are the family vacation memories that last a lifetime.
